Histon will be among a handful of villages making history this Friday. It’s the UK Community PREMIER of the Age of Stupid. The movie will be screened at the Histon Methodist Hall on High street at 7:00 pm sharp. At the conclusion of the movie there will be a brief interval followed by a LIVE national webcast of celebrities discussing the film from all over the UK. The Age of Stupid is a view from the future back to our present time in an effort to understand why we did not act to prevent climate change when we had the time to do so. The film has received rave reviews in the press and will soon be making its US debut.
The live hookup with Histon and 50 other small villages will be the first time such an event has ever been attempted. Come join the crowd, but remember seating is very limited so get there early. Doors will open at 6:30 pm with a 7 pm start. The earlier than normal start time is due to the timing of the live event after the movie has run. Refeshments will be available and there is no charge to attend. Donations at the door will be appreciated to help defray costs, but are not required.
